This module examines the intersection of climate change, energy poverty policy, and social justice within sustainable development. Students will explore the complex relationships between energy access, poverty alleviation, and climate mitigation and adaptation strategies. Through a multidisciplinary approach, including policy analysis, ethical inquiry, and case studies, students will critically assess existing policies and frameworks to address energy poverty and climate change while promoting equity and justice. By engaging with real-world challenges, students will develop the knowledge and skills to advocate for inclusive and effective energy policies prioritising marginalised communities' needs.
